A man was killed while four others were injured in a bomb blast in Malir, Karachi on Monday morning.
According to police, the explosion occurred near Sheesh Mahal bus stop in Mohabbat Nagar area of Malir.
One man was killed and four others sustained injuries in the incident.
The injured were rushed to Jinnah Hospital where according to hospital sources condition of one injured was serious.
The eye witnesses and police said that the explosive material including detonators and ball bearings were hidden in a concrete block in a manufacturing area. They believed that the bomb was meant for 10th Muharram but could not explode due to closure of mobile phones.
Security forces cordoned off the area and started investigation while the bomb disposal squad was also called in to scrutinize the area.
