3,000 Indian Sikhs to attend Nanak anniversary

Around 3,000 Sikh pilgrims are expected to arrive from India on November 25 via the Wahga border to join ceremonies for the 544th birth anniversary of Sikh religious leader Baba Guru Nanak Dev from November 26 to 28.
Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Asif Hashmi will host a ceremony for Sikh pilgrims on December 2 where Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will be the chief guest.
Sikh pilgrims will go to Nankana Sahib and Hasanabdal to participate in religious activities. The federal government will provide special medical, transport facilities and security to them while the Pakistan Railways is operating 21 special trains form November 24 to December 4. Sikh pilgrims will leave for their homes on December 4.
