A young girl has filed a case against her mother, alleging that she had sold her to a sex trafficker, while another girl was abducted from a bus stop by armed men in broad daylight.
In the first incident, Sofia Shahzadi, a resident of Bakar Mandi, has moved an application in the Sessions Court claiming that her mother had sold her to Amir Farooqi, a resident of Sialkot, for Rs 80,000. She alleged that Amir had forcibly taken her signature on a Nikah Nama.
Sofia claimed that Amir was going to sell her to another man but she escaped as soon as she sensed his plan. She claimed that she moved an application against her mother and Amir with the Sherakot Police Station but the police refused to register a case against the accused, and were now openly siding with them.
The judge admitted her application and ordered the police to investigate the issue and ensure the girl’s security.
GIRL ABDUCTED: Meanwhile in Islampura, three men riding a car abducted an 18-year-old girl when she and her brother were waiting for a bus.
