Activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had a brawl with the police on Tuesday outside the President House in the federal capital.
According to police officials, the political activists had tried to enter the president’s house without a permit paper. The police personnel warned them to step away but they refused to step down which resulted in the clash.
The PPP activists were of the view that they had wanted to attend an event being held inside the President House, but police had behaved roughly with them.
The police insisted that the premises of the President House fell under the red zone category and they could not allow anyone to gather around it for long.
The police resorted to baton charge and dispersed the activists until the situation was under control.
