Fire erupted on Tuesday in a chemical factory near Shera Kot, Bund Road that caused heavy damages to the factory. However, no loss of life was reported.
Rescue 1122 and Fire Brigade sources said the fire erupted due to short circuiting and the blaze soon engulfed storage area of chemicals.
The blaze was brought under control after hectic efforts spanning more than one hour. Police, City District Administration officials reached at the spot and launched investigation into the incident.
