Visitors decried poor parking and security arrangements during the Islamabad festival held in F-9 Park.
The visitors thronged the festival with hopes of getting some entertainment but the visit cost them their valuables. They were charged parking fee on entry to the park but no one guarded their vehicles and motorcycles and thieves stole auto parts with impunity.
A citizen told INP that he had come to the festival with his children on a motorcycle. He had paid Rs 10 as parking fee on entry to the park and had parked his bike in the parking lot. “When I came back from the festival, the carburettor of my motorcycle was missing,” he said, adding that no guards were present in the parking area at the time.

  1. This was an ideal entertainment activity for the citizens of Islamabad. Our whole family enjoyed it. This is the only comments about poor parking arrangements. I think that in such a huge gatherings, minute problems may occur but we should see the overall arrangements and ideas which were appreciated by the participants.

  2. I agree. I was there myself and the management was good. There are always a few problems when events are arranged on such a large scale and these problems were not the event highlights in this case.
