The PIEDMC chairman said that at the cost of Rs 100 million, this project would not only provide services to more than 166 national and multinational pharmaceutical companies situated at Sundar Industrial Estate but would serve the entire pharmaceutical sector of Punjab and the country. The centre, he added, would materialise the Punjab government’s commitment to effectively check spurious drugs and maintain high standard and transparency in the pharmaceutical sector.
The initiative would improve quality of drugs in the province as well as rest of the country and save time of pharmaceutical sector in examining samples which were earlier sent abroad for testing, he said.
The project is a public-private partnership model and one of the subsidiaries of the PIEDMC.
