Rawalpindi District Bar and District Government locked horns on the issue of building an underpass or an overhead bridge between the Judicial Complex and District Courts. According to sources, District Bar President Sajid Ilyas Bhatti and Secretary Malik Imran rejected the offer of the district government to build an overhead bridge between the Judicial Complex and the District Courts. They opined that overhead bridges had failed to facilitate pedestrians throughout the city. The district government was against the construction of an underpass and was ready to build an overhead bridge at its own expense. The issue will now be presented before the Lahore High Court chief justice.
