Countrywide security high alert after Abbas Town bombing

Security has been put on high alert in different cities across Pakistan following a bombing Sunday at an imambargah in Karachi.
It is pertinent to note that at least two people were killed and several people including five Rangers personnel injured in a powerful remote-controlled blast at an imambargah located in Abul Hasan Isfahani Road.
Following the blast, security arrangements have been tightened in the country especially in major cities including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta.
Additional contingents of police in plain clothes have been deployed. The security personnel have been strictly directed not to allow vehicles parking in areas other than the specified places.
Meantime, the points for searching the people pouring in the processions and mourning public gatherings, have been ramped up.
