Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastgir said the provincial government would make fool proof security arrangements for maintaining law and order during Muharram while addressing a meeting of the district and police administrations of Hazara Division, held at the commissioner’s house on Sunday. The meeting decided that besides taking other stringent and fool proof measures for maintaining peace, relevant articles of Anti Terrorism Act will also be provoked to ensure sectarian harmony. During this period, uninterrupted power supply to all congregations would also be ensured. Terming three districts of Hazara, which include Haripur, Mansehra and Abbottabad, as most sensitive with regard to law and order, the Hazara commissioner and the DIG informed the provincial high ups of the contingency plans chalked out by each district as well as security measures taken and facilities arranged for Muharram processions, congregations and the general public.
