District govt, bar lock horns over underpass construction

District Bar Rawalpindi and District Government have locked horns on the issue of building underpass or overhead bridge between the Judicial Complex and District Courts.
According to sources, president of the district bar, Sajid Ilyas Bhatti and Secretary, Malik Imran rejected the offer of the district government to build an overhead bridge between the Judicial Complex and the District Courts. They opined that the overhead bridges have failed to facilitate the pedestrians throughout the city.
The district government is against the construction of an underpass and is ready to build an overhead bridge on its own expenses.
The issue would be presented now before the chief justice Lahore High Court (LHC).
