Commissioner directs early completion of welfare projects

Rawalpindi Commissioner Imdad Ullah Bosal directed authorities to complete development projects in the city within the stipulated time period. He issued these orders during a visit to inspect development work on Mareer Tunnel and Pirwadhai Underpass. Bosal directed contractors to complete the construction of these two projects as soon as possible to resolve traffic issues in these areas. The commissioner inspected the mega project of Mareer Chowk Tunnel, which would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 430 million. Deputy Director (Engineering) told the commissioner that Pakistan Railways (PR) would complete its work on the project by Nov 22, after which Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) would initiate development work on it.
Bosal also visited the Pirwadhai Underpass site along with Punjab Highway Authority officials. He directed officials to resolve traffic problems faced by passengers traveling between Peshawar and Rawalpindi. The commissioner advised contractors to start working day and night to complete the projects in time. He said that the completion of the mega projects would bring relief for travelers. He directed contractors to use solid material in the construction, saying that negligence in the development project would not be tolerated.
