Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have reunited on the red carpet, but their reconciliation in real life may take more time, sources say.
Bottom of Form: As “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2” brings the dramatic vampire series to a close this month, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are just beginning to rekindle their romance off-screen. And, according to sources close to the actors, the road toward reconciliation isn’t clear just yet. “He’s never going to forget what she did, but he has forgiven her,” the pal told Us Weekly. “Almost losing him was a wake-up call for Kristen. And Rob doesn’t want to be angry anymore. They want to move forward.” Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, have been making a show of being happily reunited on the red carpet at premieres for their new film together in recent weeks, but out of the spotlight, another source said, they’re still working toward normalcy. “There are good days and bad days,” the source said. “She still feels guilty.” Neither of the two camera-shy actors has formally spoken out about the status of their relationship just yet, but Stewart did comment tersely during an interview on the “Today” show earlier this month. “Kristen, you have so many fans, and they will be mad at us if we don’t ask you,” host Savannah Guthrie prefaced. “Are you back together with Robert Pattinson?” Stewart stalled for a bit before answering, gazing at the floor and smoothing back her hair. “Funny you mention that,” she said evenly. “I’m going to just let people watch whatever little movie they think our lives are. Keep ‘em guessing, I always say.” According to a production source on the set of the couple’s “Twilight” films, Stewart is still racked with guilt over her summer fling with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders. “She still thinks the world hates her,” the source told Us. “It’s hard to resume a relationship after something like that.”
