City goes peaceful? Only two killed on Saturday!

At least two persons were killed in different firing incidents in the provincial metropolis while two suspected persons were arrested during the Rangers’ search operation in Liaquatabad here Saturday.
According to details, a security guard Mir Gul was killed in gunfire by unidentified motorcyclist miscreants in Saddar area of Zebun Nisa Street.
Another youth Wasim was gunned down while he was sitting outside his house located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-3. Also, a man Momin Khan was injured in firing by dacoits in Chanesar Goth.
Meantime, the Rangers cordoned off some streets at Arshi Chowk near Sindhi Hotel area of Liaquatabad and arrested two suspected people during the search operation in the wee hours of Saturday.
In another action by law-enforcers, Mominabad Police arrested a miscreant Imran and seized pistol and drugs from his possession after alleged encounter in Orangi Town. Also, Sharifabad Police arrested a man, Shakeel along with his son for killing his daughter-in-law Farzana Kanwal. The arrested son and father said they are innocent, as Farzana died of her ailment.
However, police said Farzana’s brother Imran lodged a murder case against the two miscreants.
Coalition partners working to restore peace: Kaira: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said the coalition parties are working to maintain peace in Karachi.
In an interview‚ he said federal government will support provincial government to restore peace in Karachi. The minister said it is prerogative of the Parliament to elect the people for governing the country. Replying to a question regarding President’s participation in Eid Milan party at Malakwal‚ Qamar Zaman Kaira said democratically elected President is part of the Parliament. He said the president’s participation in the public meeting is not politics.
SUC demands security in Moharram
Shia Ulema Council (SUC) Larkana chapter held a meeting Saturday to discuss the Muharram-ul-Harram activities and demanded of the government to beef up security measures at various locations in the district.
On the occasion, SUC announced to Azadari Protection Cell led by Syed Ali Gohar Shah Naqvi and other members in Larkana district for the Majalis and mourners activities monitoring programs.
They demanded that the Moharram activities have been started in the city so that police should increase security measures and improve the monitoring standard.
The leaders of the SUC also demanded of the district government and Municipal to ensure the cleanliness and street lights arrangements on the occasion.
On the other hand, 55th birth anniversary of Chief Khaksar Tehreek Hameed ud din Ahmed was celebrated here at different parts of country among Larkana to pay tribute on his services.
Khaksar Tehreek Larkana chapter arranged a gathering by cake cutting and Dua was offered by the activists on the occasion. Khaksar activists paid rich tributes on his services rendered in the deprived communities and political struggle in country.
