The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Saturday said it has blacklisted top18 major defaulter companies and individuals who failed to pay the outstanding dues of CDA on account of plots and property purchased from authority from time to time.
In a statement, CDA said these chronic defaulters and companies would not be allowed to participate in the auction of residential and commercial plots being held on November, 19 and 20, 2012 at Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad. Furthermore, it was that that these companies purchased the plots during different auctions conducted by the authority but continued to default on one pretext or the other and adopted different delaying tactics and litigation rather then making timely payments.
CDA has planned to hold grand auction of residential and commercial plots, economy flats, filling stations and other plots of different sizes and categories in developed sectors of Islamabad. Auction of residential plots will be held on Monday while commercial plots will be offered for auction on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.

During two days of this grand auction total 22 numbers of residential and commercial plots will be offered.
The plots that receive offers during the auction would be presented before the CDA board which is the final authority to accept or reject the offers, the statement said.
