Political consular of British High Commission, Susan Hyland called on PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif on here Saturday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, women role in national development and the measures taken for empowerment of women in Punjab came under discussion. While talking to the political consular Maryam said that Punjab government had made legislation for giving rights to the women in property and inheritance which will decrease a number of problems of the women. She said the provincial government had made progress in implementation of quota reserved for women in government jobs and they were also made incharge in government departments. She said that the women were also taking active part in national politics which had helped a lot to resolve women problems in the society.
