IGP inquires about health of wounded cop, citizens

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences hospital and inquired about the health of cop and citizens who got injured in firing by car thieves in sector G-9 on the other day.
It is to mention that an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Islamabad Police Muhammad Riaz was shot dead in this incident of firing by car thieves while a Constable Rizwan Mustafa and citizens Rana Irshad and Amhed Yar got injured. One of the absconding criminal was overpowered due to the gallant attitude of the citizens as well as policemen.
During this visit of IGP, SP (Saddar) Sajid Kiyani, SP (City) Muhammad Ilyas, SHO Margallah police station Muhammad Hussain Lasi, Senior Patron in-chief of traders community at Karachi Company Malik Rafique, prominent trades including Valaj Abbassi, Haider Shaheen, Muhammad Ashraf Janjua, Awal Khan, Ejaz Ahmed Warraich were also present.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan especially visited PIMS hospital and inquired about the health of cop as well as injured citizens. He presented them flowers’ bouquet and prayed for their early recovery.
The IGP said that Islamabad Police has been always supported by the citizens and it is their response that culture of friendly as well as community policing has been inculcated in the city.
Bani Amin Khan also thanked the traders community of Karachi Company (G-9 Markaz) which responded immediately in assisting police to arrest culprit. He said that various police teams have been constituted and arrest of other absconding criminals would be made soon.
The IGP said that police will arrange special program after the recovery of wounded persons to encourage traders’ community and gold medals as well as cash prizes will be awarded to them.
