Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif Friday, underscoring the need for understanding of the problems facing the citizens of Pakistan, said that Pakistanis are not terrorists.
Nawaz Sharif expressed these views while talking to new US ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson who called on the PML-N leader in Raiwind during his maiden trip to the Punjab’s capital since he assumed diplomatic assignment two weeks ago.
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and the PML-N leader Khwaja Asif also attended the meeting.
“We don’t want aid; instead, we need trade,” Sharif told the US envoy, stressing Pakistanis are not terrorists.
The PML-N Chief remarked it is hoped that the ties between the two countries will improve during the new tenure of President Obama.
