Multiple robberies, arrests throughout the city

Multiple incidents of robberies were reported on Thursday in various areas of the city where robbers fled with cash and valuables while police arrested more than a dozen suspected criminals from different areas.
According to reports, a robbery took place at a shop named Tahir Autos in Baghbanpura. Robbers looted Rs 200,000 cash and other valuables at gunpoint and thereafter escaped. A similar incident occurred at Ishtaqa Optical, a shop at Safawala Chowk, where robbers looted Rs 50,000 cash among other valuables at gunpoint and escaped from the scene.
In another incident, a citizen was deprived from his cash near Hafiz Center when robbers snatched Rs 700,000 from the victim.
Meanwhile, Police arrested a mother-daughter drug duo of Ruksana and Iram from Baghbanpura and recovered heroin worth millions from their possession. Sources said that the accused were wanted in multiple cases. Iqbal Town police also arrested a female robber named Naheed Tahira, a resident of Kasur, and recovered gold worth more than Rs 10 million and thousands of rupees in cash from her possession.
In another raid, police arrested five gamblers from Factory Area and recovered thousands of rupees in cash, mobile phones and other valuables from their possession.
CIA Model Town police also arrested five members of ‘Ali Hassan’ robbery gang and recovered 8 motorbikes, 5 laptops, gold and other valuables from their possession.
