Consultations began on Wednesday to bring a no-trust motion against Balochistan Assembly Speaker Aslam Bhotani as Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf summoned PPP lawmakers to Islamabad in a bid to resolve the crisis. According to sources, PPP’s coalition partners and independent candidates are being consulted to present a no-trust motion against Bhotani. The sources added that Bhotani could be replaced with any other member of the PML-Q. On Tuesday, Balochistan Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution, backing Aslam Raisani as the chief minister. In interim order, the Supreme Court had ruled that the Balochistan government had lost its constitutional authority in the wake of poor law and order situation.
