The government is making efforts to send pilgrims to Iran by planes due in the wake of recent terrorist attacks on land routes, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Tuesday.
He said this while speaking to his Iranian counterpart Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar here.
The brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran were further strengthening, he said, adding that complete security would be provided to pilgrims en route to Iran.
Speaking on this occasion, Iran’s Interior Minister Najjar said Afghan militants were carrying out attacks in Balochistan.
He said security was being bolstered along Pak-Iran border to prevent the terror attacks from Afghans militants.
