President Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sindh Dr Samrina Hashmi Tuesday said that the doctors would observe a symbolic hunger strike against the killing of their fellow, Dr Nisar.
Dr Nisar was shot dead yesterday in a firing incident that occurred in Lee Market.
All doctors of the province would observe the hunger strike for two hours tomorrow, she said.
She also threatened to go on strike after three days if their demands were not fulfilled.
On the other hand, Sindh Doctors’ Welfare Association and All Paramedical and Nursing Association have supported the call for strike.
‘Doctors are not safe, they are on target that is why we are protesting and demand sufficient security’, she added.
