Foreigner specialist doctors to be hired in Institute of Cardiology Rawalpindi

The Punjab government decided to hire specialist doctors from abroad to bring the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology up to international standards.
Member National Assembly Hanif Abbasi announced that world famous British doctor of Pakistani origin, Dr Husnaat Ahmed, would join the institute in connection with the initiative.
The MNA said that Head of the Institute of Cardiology Major General (r) Dr Azhar Kiani had signed a contract with Dr Husnaat during one of his foreign trips. An Australian children heart specialist would also be brought to the institute, he said, adding that the doctors would be permitted to practice privately in the institute under an agreement.
According to the agreement, the doctor would pay 45 percent of their income to the institute.
