PPP Central Punjab president Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has said there is no last word in the politics and alliance may be forged with any one.
In an interview with a private TV channel here Monday, he held country’s future hinged on democracy.
He was of the view Imran Khan could not become prime minister and he could formulate alliance with any party in upcoming general elections.
He stated Asif Zardari was a democratic president and he could not be compared with any dictator. Asif Zardari had friendship with Nawaz Sharif and he cooperated much with the latter. President Zardari personally asked the independent members to extend cooperation with Punjab government in government making process in the province, he pointed out .
“PML-Q is our allied party. We respect them and will go alongside with them. Nawaz Sharif is rival and Shujaat is our ally”, he underlined. “I ask them who are fleeing from elections to stay in the field and not to run”, he added.
He opined that Yusuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf performed their work well in their capacities. Party leadership will decide who will be the president of PPP Punjab chapter and who will be the next prime minister, he remarked.
There is no hostility in the politics, however, political differences remain and all political parties have every right to have differences on political front, he stated.
We can go for politics without indulging in blame game or character assassination campaign against each other, he held. We should maintain atmosphere of harmony as politicians are also human beings and they should behave well with each other, he stressed.
