Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf has said 2013 is the year of elections. Addressing a ceremony to mark exhibition of photographs of South Asia Photo Journalist Association, the prime minister expressed confidence that these would not only nourish democracy but also lay foundations for a sustainable political system in the country. He said the PPP government pursued reconciliatory policy as envisioned by Benazir Bhutto. “The government has been following this policy to combat all kinds of challenges in a bid to strengthen democracy.” Ashraf said the media and the government always worked for the common good of the society, adding that the PPP government believed in independent and free media. He expressed confidence that photo journalists would strive hard to help project a soft image of the country. He announced Rs 3 million for the association.
BB is dead. PPP leaders need to have a vision of their own. Hopefully it will be a better one than BB. She has coused enough damage to Pakistan already.
