Girls desperate to meet their idols were sent packing when they arrived at the shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush this morning after meet and greet wristbands were dished out ahead of schedule.
The sisters had agreed to sign autographs for the first 500 fans in line but the Kardashian website discouraged fans from camping out overnight, claiming that the queue would open at 7am and wristbands would be given out from 9am.
However, with more than 500 hardcore fans already queuing outside the Dorothy Perkins store in Westfield last night, security staff were forced to abolish the original plan.
Just before 9pm yesterday evening Westfield tweeted that 500 people were already queuing for wristbands and stated that those who arrived afterwards would not get a chance to meet the Kardashian trio after all.
Shopping centre staff were then forced to come up with a contingency plan to safely house the overnight campers.
Justifying their decision to waver from the original plan of action, the mall’s official Twitter account added: ‘Westfield has a duty of care to look after our guests and the decision was made to de-mark the first 500 people for safety reasons.’
Upon hearing the news, the reality TV stars then did all they could to appease the masses of disgruntled fans.
Khloe tweeted: ‘Kourt Kim and I will see as many dolls as we can! We love our dolls!!!’
The X Factor USA presenter later posted an apology on her website under the title ‘To Our London Fans’.
It read: ‘We’ve already had such an amazing response to our signing at Westfield London today and are so excited to see everyone!
‘We can’t believe how many incredible fans are waiting outside (several thousand!)
‘In order to keep everyone safe, Westfield had to action a contingency plan for those who stood in line overnight and allowed those people to stay in the carpark.’
She continued: ‘Anyone not already there is of course still welcome to come out today, but I wanted to send a personal message to make sure everyone stays safe!’
And after the gruelling day of autograph signing and endless pleasantries, she tweeted: ‘Wow what an incredible day!!! Thank you for everyone who came out to see us!!! I will always remember my 1st trip to London :)’
