Indian Punjab clinch kabaddi final

In a most stimulating and breath-taking final encounter of the Punjab International Sports Festival 2012 between Pakistan and India, the visiting team took away the title 45-43 coming from behind here at the Punjab Stadium on Sunday night. Pakistan team was leading the majority of the first half of the match and was fully enjoyed by former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League President Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.
After keenly-watching the first session of the match and introduction with the players of both the teams Main Nawaz left to resolve his personal engagements while Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, deputy speaker and chief organizer Sports and Youth Festival and Usman Anwar, Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab distributed the prizes among the winners. Also present on the occasion was MPA Malik Pervaiz.
Pakistan team took early lead and maintained it till the closing minutes of the first session but India fought back quite well and took control of the proceeding 24-22.
After a tit for tat first session, the second session was also of fluctuating fortunes. Pakistan again came in the match in the second session but on a number of time out appeals and replayed handed India lead and in the end the visiting team won the match with two points difference.
