The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has contacted the heads of all government institutes, including the army, to ensure maximum out turn for the next general elections in the country. According to the ECP Additional Secretary Afzal Khan, a request had been sent to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shamim Wynne to make sure that all retired and presently serving soldiers and officers’ participated in the process of voting during the next general polls, a private news channel reported. The ECP had also mailed letters to top officers including chief secretaries, IGPs and other government institutes of all four provinces and asked them to make sure that all public servants participated in the process of voting during the upcoming elections.
