Pakistan released 15 Indian fishermen, who were detained by the authorities for fishing in the country’s territorial waters, from Karachi’s jail on Sunday. The toll of Indian fishermen being released from Malir jail this year has risen to 693. The fishermen were arrested over violation of sea territorial limits. They were released from District Jail Malir of the city sent to Wahga Border by bus where they would be handover to Indian authorities. Pakistan Coast Guard had detained the fishermen from the territorial waters and registered cases against them at the Docks Police Station under Foreign Act and Fisheries Act. Cases were registered against them under foreign and fisheries acts at Docks police station. Jail Superintendent, Nazir Shah, said released fishermen left for Wagha border via bus from where they would be handed over to Indian security forces.
