Policeman among three shot dead

A policeman was killed on Thursday when a police mobile was fired upon in Sohrab Goath area
Officials said unknown bike riders intercepted a police vehicle and fired shots on it, killing a police constable. The attackers managed to flee from the scene.
Meanwhile, violence continued in the city with two more people killed in a firing incident which took place in Karachi’s restive locality, Orangi Town.
Five hurt in road accident: At least five people were injured when an overcrowded bus collided with three vehicles as it went out of control near Cantt Station on Thursday.
Eyewitness said Ilyas Coach collided with a concrete barrier before hitting a motorbike and a rickshaw when it went out of driver’s control running down slope of a bridge near the Cantt station.
Two biker riders and three people onboard the rickshaw, including a woman, were critically injured.
The bus was carrying at least 60 passengers – many of them on the roof.
People shifted the injured to Jinnah Medical Center through ambulances, and handed over the bus driver to police.
Police arrest 2 terrorists: Police arrested two target killers from Suhrab Goth area of the city here on Thursday.
According to police, the target killers were arrested from Indus Plaza of the area. The target killer was identified as Aslam alias Cheena and was involved in the killings of seven people including that of a policeman.
Police also recovered weapons from them. On the other hand, Manghopir police arrested two dacoits in and recovered weapons, motorcycle and drugs in encounter.
Minister condemns suicidal attack on Rangers: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Syed Samsam Ali Bokhari has strongly condemned the suicidal attack on Sachal Rangers residential building on Thursday.
In a condolence message the minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and those who received injuries in the incident. He prayed Allah Almighty for recovery of injured and rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to bear the loss.
