Altaf tells govt to quit for failing to protect citizens

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has once again dared the federal and provincial governments to resign for failing to safeguard the lives of citizens against terrorism.
Condemning the suicide blast at the Headquarters of Sachal Rangers in Karachi, Altaf in a statement issued here said,” a government that cannot provide its citizens the protection it promises has no right to stay in power.”
He expressed his grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of three Rangers and injuries to several others.
Altaf Hussain said that terrorists wanted to create instability in the country by carrying out such cowardly acts in order to achieve their nefarious designs.
He sympathized with the grieving families of the personnel martyred in the blast and prayed for speedy recovery and well-being of the injured.
Altaf Hussain called upon the government to take serious notice of the blast at the Rangers Headquarters.
He called for solid steps for eliminating terrorists and for protecting the life and property of the public.
He said that the terrorists involved in the blasts should be brought to justice and given exemplary punishment.
