Andrew Kirk, a faculty member of Thomas Deacon Academy Peterborough UK on Wednesday visited Roots Millennium School, Mirpur Campus under Global School Partnership project by British Council. Roots Millennium School Mirpur Campus has had a strong partnership with Thomas Deacon Academy Peterborough UK since 2009. “On the basis of their active partnership, both the schools won RV Grant by British Council,” said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
Andrew Kirk and his team were enthralled by the spellbound welcome performance of the students. Roots Mirpur Campus Headmistress, Sabeen Khalid welcomed the guests and showed strong inclination to further strengthen the partnership. Imrana Naeem, former Headmistress gave the briefing about the whole program and showed optimism that this partnership would be taken from mutual projects to Teacher/Student exchange visits and teachers training and development for mutual benefits in the coming years. The main purpose of the visit was to challenge the wrong perceptions in the young minds on both sides and to bridge the gap through mutual activities and visits. Andrew and his team were highly impressed by the high quality academic standards of Roots Millennium Schools and the over all discipline of the students during his visit and believed that he would be able to share all the hospitality, warm welcome and poised nature people with his students in a much better way.
