Law Minister Farooq H Naik has said letter written to Swiss Authorities has been changed but its text has been kept in consonance with Supreme Court’s (SC) approval.
“Changes have been made in letter but its text is in line with what apex court has approved”, he said this while talking to a private TV channel here Thursday.
He held that confirmation receipt of the letter written to Swiss Authorities would be received before next hearing on November 14 .
The letter has reached Pakistan ambassador in Switzerland through foreign office on November, 3, he pointed out. The ambassador will hand over this letter in person or through his representative to Attorney General of Geneva, he told the channel.
He stated that copy of SC verdict had not been attached with the letter which was dispatched to Swiss authorities but a copy of paragraph No 178 has been enclosed with the letter.
He maintained that letter had been sent to Pakistan ambassador in Switzerland and another letter had also been sent to him to ensure delivery of this letter to Swiss Attorney General.
Naik was of the view he had completed his homework hoping confirmation receipt of the letter would be received ahead of next hearing.
Regarding caretaker government he said no decision had been taken in this regard.
