Global Industrial and Defence Solution (DIGS) Director General (DG) on Wednesday announced that Pakistan had made drone aircrafts capable of surveillance and gathering information. Talking to media, Air Vice Marshall (r) Zubair said Pakistan-made drone aircrafts had a range of 17,000 feet and could fly for hours. “These unmanned aircrafts can be use in any kind of weather,” he said, adding that police and law enforcement authorities would be able to use it against militants. Pakistan had demanded United States to provide them with drone technology to target militants in Waziristan- an area in North West Pakistan bordering Afghanistan- which is a safe haven for militants attacking NATO, Afghan and U.S forces in the neighbouring country.
