The German Embassy, in cooperation with the Pakistan German Business Forum (PGBF), held a unique exhibition titled “Germany on the Road” here on Wednesday.
The exhibition that attracted dozens of people was inaugurated by Ambassador Dr Cyrill Nunn.
“Germany on the Road” had been designed to present the multitude of linkages between Germany and Pakistan by giving German companies, Germany-linked companies and German institutions the opportunity to display their activities in Pakistan in a concise and vivid manner.
During the exhibition, up-to-date information about Germany as well as appealing give-aways were handed out and a buffet lunch with German culinary specialities was offered. Students from Roots College International DHA Campus and from Roots School System Islamabad performed German songs and folk dances. Both schools had been offering German classes with the support of the Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institute within the PASCH (partner school) framework.
The event was sponsored by Alno AG, Allianz EFU Health Insurances Ltd., BASF Pakistan Ltd., CEI Supply Chain (Pvt) Ltd., Dewan Motors (Pvt) Ltd./BMW, EXCEL Group/PrintSol, GWE German Water & Energy, Küppersbusch Teka Pakistan / Viessmann, Nordex SE Germany, Qavi Engineers (Pvt Ltd.), Ravi Agric, SAP Pakistan, Transtech Group of Industries Pakistan and Zulkfil Sourcing & Services International. These companies as well as German institutions in Pakistan presented their activities with attractive stalls during the event.
This exhibition had earlier been displayed in Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Multan and would soon be shown in Karachi.
