All government hospitals in Balochistan including Quetta were on strike on the 23rd consecutive Thursday against the kidnapping of Dr Saeed Ahmed with distressed patients forced to resort to private clinics.
On appeal by Pakistan Medical Association Balochistan (PMA), the doctors of all government hospitals in the province including Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex of Quetta, were on strike against the abduction of Optometrist Dr. Saeed.
All OPDs and general operation theatres were closed in the meantime causing severe troubles to the patients pouring in from far-flung areas, as they have to go to private hospitals for healthcare.
It is worth noting here that no headway was achieved from the provincial government and the administration for the recovery of Dr. Saeed despite the continued strike.
