In an operation against the sale of illegal and unregistered SIMs, the Westridge police have arrested 10 persons and recovered 559 illegal SIMs from their possession.
According to sources, police received complaints that some unauthorized dealers were selling illegal SIMs in different parts of the city in the jurisdiction of the Westridge Police Station.
The police took action regarding the complaints and arrested Jaleel with 109 illegal SIMs, Azhar with 158 SIMs, Saqib with 41 SIMs, Ilyas with 210 SIMs Anwar with six SIMs, Shahzad with 32 SIMs, Abbas with 20 SIMs, Ameer Hamza with eight SIMs, Ahsan with 33 SIMs and Waqar with 114 illegal SIMs. Cases had been registered against all the nabbed persons.
