Markazia Majlis-e-Iqbal held a meeting on Tuesday at Aiwan-e-Iqbal to supervise the preparation plans for Iqbal day to be celebrated on November 9.
According to details, the main celebrations marking the birthday of renowned poet and philosopher, Muhammad Iqbal (Allama Iqbal) would be held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on November 9. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chief, Imran Khan would be the chief guest on the occasion that had been planned in collaboration by Markazia Majlis-e-Iqbal and Aiwan-e-Iqbal administration.
The ceremony would host prominent people including Markazia Majlis-e-Iqbal Chairman Mian Afzal Hayat, Aiwan-e-Iqbal Chairman and Markazia General Secretary Arif Nizami, Roznama Pakistan Chief Editor Mujeeb ur Rehman Shami, Orya Maqbool Jan, renowned columnist Sajjad Mir, Iqbal’s grandchild Barrister Waleed Iqbal and Yasir Peerzada.
The ceremony would start with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali, while Hina Nasrullah would present Iqbal’s poetry on the occassion.
