Lack of proper parking place in front of Polyclinic Hospital

Lack of proper parking facilities near Federal Government Services Hospital (Polyclinic) have been creating problems for patients and their attendants.
Polyclinic was the second major hospital of the city, accommodating a large number of patients, stationed in different government offices in the capital. However, several patients visited this hospital from remote areas as well. The hospital provided healthcare to hundreds of patients every day, however these patients and their attendants had no place to park their vehicles, despite the huge inflow.
The hospital administration had occupied a road running through the Argentina Park. The park was situated behind the hospital and the occupied area was basically a link road which had been rendered useless because of barriers set in front of it by the administration. Qasim Ali, a patient, told APP that a watchman standing at the barrier had not let him park his vehicle inside the barriers, although the area was meant for parking for patients and their attendants.
Tahir Ali, an attendant, said that the vehicles parked in front of the hospital had accelerated the patients’ problems and there was a dire need to solve the issue, otherwise the situation could lead to a major mishap.
The Polyclinic Medical Superintendent (MS) said that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) had been requested a number of times to reserve proper parking place for the hospital, but the civic authority had not done anything yet.
CDA Spokesman, while talking to APP, said that the barriers erected by hospital were illegal and denied that the hospital administration had requested it to provide parking arrangements.
He further said that the civic authority had made some temporary parking arrangements in front of the hospital. The civic body was aware of the problems being faced by patients and would try to redress them.
