People thronged the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Tuesday and appreciated the art work of 15 artists who were participating in the All Pakistan Exhibition.
RAC, in collaboration with Saba Khidmat Foundation, organized the exhibition, which commenced on Monday.
The art work featured landscape, pencil work, common life, cultural heritage, collage, calligraphy and abstract, and succeeded in gathering a large audience from the twin cities.
The artists participating in group show were Hamid Alvi, Junaid Nawaz, Saleem Jhatial, Ali Abrar, Anees Fatima, Maryam Rasool, Mirza Shakeel, Mehmood Ali, Hania Zaidi, Iqra Tariq, Muhammad Imran, and Mahrukh Sultan.
Paintings in different mediums such as oil paintings, acrylic paintings, pen drawing, water colour, and pastels were on display.
Green Task Force Chairman Dr Jamal Nasir along with Resident Director Waqar Ahmed, inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the art work.
Dr Nasir said that it was a great task to assemble artists from all over Pakistan under one roof, but RAC had accomplished the job successfully.
He said that the work of all artists was wonderful and appreciable. He said that he would raise his voice for the betterment of the artists’ community.
Waqar said that they had aimed to provide an opportunity to the people of the twin cities to see art work from different regions.
He said that the All Pakistan Painting Exhibition had proved that the platform of Rawalpindi Arts Council had not been confined to Rawalpindi but had been extended to artists from all over the country.
The exhibition would continue till November 10th.
