Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) post Hajj operations based in Jeddah started to depart flights as per schedule after the religious ministry complained the defence ministry of a slack operation by PIA.
PIA spokesperson Sultan Hasan Khan said that the airline was operating ten return flights daily .He said that on Monday, the flights from Jeddah to Lahore, Karachi and Quetta arrived at their scheduled time. He told that so far PIA had operated 46 flights from the Jeddah Haj Terminal and had flown 20,000 Hujjaj back into the country. He underscored that according to the flight statistics released from the Jeddah Airport of the 60 different airlines, the departure from the Jeddah Hajj Terminal were being delayed up to 15 hours.
