The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday sought reply from Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and accountability court’s judge by November 19 in Former Bank of Punjab president Hamesh Khan fraud case.
Chief Justice LHC Umar Ata Bandial resumed the hearing of petition filed by Hamesh Khan seeking transferring the bank fraud case to another court.
During the hearing, Azam Nazir, the counsel for Hamesh Khan, told the court that his client has expressed no-confidence in Justice Nisar Baig of the accountability court.
Former Bank of Punjab President Hamesh Khan was accused of being involved in a Rs9 billion bank loan scam.
The counsel argued that accountability court’s judge has ignored ‘law’ while hearing the case.
He also requested the court to transfer Hamesh Khan’s case to another court.
On this the LHC summoned reply from chairman NAB and accountability court’s judge by November 19.
