Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch stressed upon the president and prime minister to resolve the Balochistan issue under Article 112 of the Constitution in light of the Supreme Court decision. In a statement issued on Monday, he demanded that a joint session of the parliament should be summoned immediately for finding out a political and democratic solution to the Balochistan issue. He said that the responsibility for the prevailing situation in Balochistan lay with the parties comprising the federal government and the Balochistan government. He said that the people of Balochistan, especially the youth, had been annoyed with the armed forces and its agencies, and the government had compelled them to revolt.
