A man gunned down a woman in his family for rejecting a proposal of marriage in Bhagatpura area of the city.
According to details, a man named Shahzad sent a wedding proposal to Saleema Bibi, who refused to marry him.
The furious accused late on Saturday night opened fire at Saleema Bibi, injuring her critically. She was rushed to Mayo Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds on Sunday morning.
The murderer managed to escape.
