Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has blamed that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Provincial President Manzoor Wattoo for misappropriating funds from Bait-ul-Maal, fertiliser and widow fund scandal and said that he could not fool the masses and had a track record of corruption.
Rana said that those who had gulped down billions of rupees of public money had no right to discuss law and order. He said that the political career of Wattoo was a long history of corruption, deceit and betrayal and his nomination as PPP Punjab president was also because of his skill in fraud and deception.
The minister said Wattoo’s dream to rule Punjab would never realise and those who had robbed the national exchequer will be exposed soon. He said that the fight between the Chaudhries who were prepared to elect Musharraf in uniform ten times and Wattoo who was in a habit of changing political loyalties for his selfish ends will soon be seen by the people as both of them were ready to go to any extreme.
Sana said that instead of giving advice to CM and pretending to be a legal expert, Wattoo should worry about his own future. He said that elements who were imprisoned for corruption scandal of billion of rupees will be held accountable by the masses.
The Lokpal Act should lay down an objective and transparent criteria such as competence, experience, qualification etc for the selection of candidates for appointment to the Lokpal.
