A woman was gunned down while police arrested several suspected criminals in separate raids on Friday.
A 35-year-old woman was murdered near Bekhawal Morr Muslim Town. Witnesses said that the woman stepped out of the bus when unidentified men opened fire and murdered her.
Meanwhile, Chuhng investigation police arrested Nazim, Ghulam Mustafa and Iqbal in a raid. The men were wanted in several cases of serious nature, including robbery and murder.
In another raid, Shahdara police arrested two members of the Shan robbery gang and six members of a carjacking gang from Baghbanpua. They recovered 12 cars and 12 motorbikes from the suspects’ possession.
Shalimar police arrested two robbers, Naveed and Waris, and recovered three motorbikes, mobile phones and weapons from their possession.
In another incident, a pickpocket named Amir Ali was caught red handed by a citizen Amjad Ali at Allama Iqbal Airport. During investigation, Amir Ali admitted to have stolen Rs 60,000 cash from Amjad Ali’s pocket.
