Armed robbers on Thursday gunned down owner of a medical store upon resistance during a robbery attempt.
Enraged citizens held a demonstration against the incident and blocked the main road.
According to details, two motorcyclists barged into in a medical store located in Township area and looted the cash and other valuables at gunpoint. Upon resistance the robbers shot and killed the owner of medical store identified as Sheikh Muhammad Saeed and fled with looted cash and other valuables.
The local traders and dwellers of the area blocked the road to protest against the incident and chanted slogans against law enforcement authorities for failure to give protection to public lives and property.
Later, police officials reached the scene and assured the protestors to bring the culprits to justice after which the protesting traders and other people dispersed peacefully.
