PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday said corruption and nepotism had badly damaged the country and had brought it to the verge of disaster. Addressing various party meetings, he deeply regretted Pakistan’s 132nd position in the International Index and regretted that it was even below even Bangladesh and other countries that had attained freedom much later than Pakistan. “Present rulers have no interest in the betterment of the common man, who are becoming poorer while power holders are busy planning their next political gimmick”, he stated, adding because of this, PTI had decided to make full efforts to give reality to the slogan of revolution. Admitting, that there were certain hurdles on the way to organise PTI at the national level, he said these hurdles were a natural part of any party’s development. Berating political opponents for using their 70 percent resources on the media campaign to defame PTI, he encouraged the workers to muster up their energies and work for the party with full zeal. Qureshi said Imran Khan’s tour of Lahore would be important and many organizational matters would come under consideration.
