Son of a high ranking Punjab bureaucrat organised a dance party on Wednesday night in Gulberg which was attended by over 250 couples who paid hundreds of thousands of rupees to attend the event.
The event had been arranged without obtaining an NOC from the Excise and Taxation Department and without payment of the mandatory luxury tax. The department however, sent a team to the venue which received the luxury tax from the organiser but the party was allowed to go on. No action has been taken against the organiser as yet.
