Armed robbers gunned down owner of a medical store upon resistance during a robbery attempt here late Wednesday night. Enraged citizens held protest demonstration against the incident and blocked the main road.
According to details, two motorcyclists barged into in a medical store located in Township area of Lahore and looted the cash and other valuables at gunpoint.
Upon resistance the robbers shot and killed the owner of medical store identified as Sheikh Muhammad Saeed and fled with looted cash and other valuables.
The local traders and dwellers of the area blocked the road t protest against the incident and chanted slogans against law enforcement authorities for failure to give protection to public lives and property.
Later, high police officials reached the scene and assured the protestors to bring the culprits to book after which the protesting traders and other people dispersed peacefully.
